WELCOME TO THE CREATIVE CLASS

SOCIAL JUSTICE

Pilgrim Soul supports inner-city artists and other marginalized creative talents. We offer artist endowments, helping them to pursue their dreams and feature their work on our products.

ARTISTS WE ADMIRE AND THEIR WORKS WE FEATURE:

Julian Alexandre Portugal-Gooden

is a contemporary abstract artist from Los Angeles, California, specializing in graphic design, acrylic on canvas, and murals. Julian is an ardent mental health advocate and has used his creativity to navigate his journey with depression and thrive despite it. He knows that creativity is the network upon which we are all connected, and cannabis helps us connect to that source. Julian believes, “We are born to create and create to be born.”

Each piece Julian paints or draws is a continuous endeavor to travel the collective consciousness to be part of the harmony only found in the quiet of the mind.

“LUCID DREAMS ”

Arnold Butler

is an autodidactic painter, photographer, and muralist, hailing from Atlanta, Georgia.

For Arnold, creating ART is akin to the act of translating unfiltered emotions. The work is not about receiving money or accolades, but instead honesty, love and pure intentions. “Simply stated,” he has said, “I don’t paint pictures, I paint my prayers for the Universe to see and hear them.”

“FOLK ”

Michelle Hoogveld

is a Canadian painter and muralist whose distinctive style is inspired by color theory, connection, and matters of the heart. Michelle creates compositions of bold patterns and textile-like blockings of color, with layers that weave and fold together as an intricate tapestry of who we are. They celebrate human identity and emotion.

Her colorful works are internationally recognized beautifying and uplifting spaces in both the public and private realm.

“PARADISE”

On a journey of imagination and a life led from the HEART, this piece dives into the creative soul of the dreamer and what it means to experience ‘Paradise’.

Davia King

is an abstract expressionist artist from Salt Lake City who loves bright colors. By layering thin layers of acrylic ink and aerosol she then uses water, air, and gravity to manipulate the paint. She captures a visual interpretation of creative energy. Faces are often used in a repeating pattern to represent the collective consciousness of humanity.

By allowing the composition to take on a life of its own, rather than try to force a preexisting idea, each piece is unique and cannot be replicated twice in exactly the same way. Davia simply follows the energy of the flow.

“EVOLVED”

This piece (evolved) is to represent humanity ascended showing us all connected in our light of illumination once we are united.

“CONFETTO”

The butterfly motif is a powerful metaphoric device in these environmentally significant times, speaking to the delicacy of the natural world and its creatures.
